I’m a voracious reader of all genres!
Call it what you may–reader, fangirl, obsessor–I LOVE BOOKS AND EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM AND I’M NOT ASHAMED.
I read mainly YA, but also expose myself to a lot of adult and crossover titles. So then why does my blog title contain “YA” if I don’t read solely YA, you may ask? Well, there is a huge stigma regarding YA in the literary world in which people feel these titles are not as legitimate as adult books. I reject this in its entirety. Young adult literature isn’t just cutesy novels that are brainless. YA authors deal with real issues going on in the world, crafting them into a diverse assortment of stories that not only are powerful, but are also entertaining and appealing to people of all ages. Therefore, since I’m so passionate about these books, I feel proud to include the term in my blog title and URL. I truly believe YA brings together a community that is inclusive of all different types of people and that’s the foundation of my love for reading and the essence of my the contents of my blog.
The “Unapologetically” portion of my name comes from my sassy nature. If I truly believe in something and am passionate about it, I will stand by it… and therefore I would be one to say “sorry not sorry” as a precursor to my posts in which I keep it a little too real.
My text posts are meant to bring together fandoms and give people recommendations for their next favorite reads. Those that include multiple characters from different books interacting with one another are meant to be humorous and I hope they are seen as so.
I also review books on this blog as well as on Goodreads and Amazon. If you’re interested in sending me a review copy of your book, I’d be happy to consider it. You can contact me at email@example.com.
